What is an AI Chatbot?
AI (artificial intelligence) chatbots learn from human inputs through machine learning and are able to take text from a prompt on a website and provide a vast amount of knowledge on many topics or provide accurately depicting images.
Chatting to an AI chatbot, such as ChatGPT is intuitive to use, as simply writing what’s on your mind can provide a wealth of information.
What is AI Content?
AI Chatbots can assist with many things related to your content, such as creating a headline, a title, content or images. AI content is simply content provided by a chatbot using knowledge that it has learnt.
As AI technology is relatively new, AI content has room for growth and might seem like a breath of fresh air. However, AI chatbots should only be used to assist with your blog, rather than copying slabs of text from it.
Does Google Allow AI Content?
Google doesn’t currently specifically penalise a site for using AI, but will penalise AI spam content.
In the past Google came from a period where unethical sites could gain traction in SERP’s or search engine results pages quite easily, to now such websites having lost such ranking, with quality content taking priority.
With the flooding of more AI content be aware of Google adapting its algorithm here too.
Ways to Use AI for Blogging
Finding Your Blog Subniche
ChatGPT can be used to find your blog’s subniche. Simply type the niche you are interested in blogging in, followed by “subniches” in ChatGPT. ChatGPT is able to provide a list of subniches for any given niche to choose from.
For example, if you wanted to start an automotive blog but were not sure of which subniches there are and which to choose from for your blog, you could use ChatGPT as a resource by typing “automotive subniches”.
For Content
Using AI to assist with articles you are working on, rather than copying and pasting whole articles will help your blog in the long run.
Perhaps you have a wealth of general knowledge on one or many linked topics and want to list and refine the core topics that you’re going to delve deeper into.
Or maybe you want to fact check with an AI chatbot to contribute to the accuracy of the topic you are working on. Using AI for content can help in these types of situations.
For Images
Two examples of AI models that can create images from text input are Canva, a free option and DALL-E, a paid option.
AI generated images are created dynamically and can avoid copyright concerns when using them on your blog. Such images could be generated to use as media in posts and pages or for featured images.
Conclusion
AI chatbots are very useful to use for content or images for our purposes. AI content should however only be used to assist, rather than to copy slabs of text from.
